    • At the present time, we find ourselves before the sudden revelation of a “critical space”, as result of the time compression, telluric space-time contraction of the interactive activities of mankind, in the age of an economical, political and military globalization.
As a consequence, the ” capital issue” of the reversal of the concept of internal and external, which is the topological result of a crisis of dimensions: of both geometrical and geographical ones. “ Catastrophical consequences” ( according to Renè Thon ) mark, nowadays, the decline of the geopolitics of nations, replaced by an “ administrative metropolitics”.
An “enviromotional geography “ is born, based on a measure determined by fear, which shows the existence of barriers, which are not physical but mental, within a city where the ambiguity between tolerance and indifference is unmasked. It is a global delocalization, which affects the profound geopolitical identity both of a country and of the whole human society.
In this way, without having either any distance or any end, the state of emergency becomes general and at the same time increases the differences.
We might go towards a “lost dimension” or in other words , towards a full-developed “state” of territory, where the concept of nation is replaced by an advanced model of civilization, where different national identities and differences coexist, the ones thanks to the other ones.
A society which introduces a “dromologic “ organization of space, gives more importance to the interpretation of the demands of a society which is deeply changing, providing it with a new experimentation, by renewing completely its contents.
Nowadays the city is the crucial place of the crisis both of politics and war, a resounding chamber of all our military, strategic and mass media actions. Geopolitics and geostrategy delete each other, along with the internal borders, which once separated all countries and their respective society, by entering a transpolitical era, where everything is globally external and continuosly internal.
At the present time, the “ geographical puzzle” is rambling and drifting towards new images, which will replace the ones already broken of the old continents, as Pierre Mac Orlan wrote in 1950. It is obvious that although space and human society will always be interconnected, it is not enough to transform space in order to change social relations.
